The Standen Literary Agency is currently accepting submissions.

We want to discover new voices in all genres of fiction.

With regard to non-fiction, we are also interested in cookery, lifestyle, and spirituality. Please get in touch via email if you have questions about non-fiction submissions.

Please note we do not represent picture books.

Due to the huge volume of submissions we receive and the incredible calibre of writing coming through, we are unable to reply to every writer who sends their work in. If you do not hear from us within six weeks after sending your submission, sadly, we will not be offering representation on this occasion.

In your submission, please include:

Only the first three chapters of your manuscript

A one-page synopsis of your work

Please format your documents in double line spacing. This is really important as it makes it easier to read your work!
